Deferring your entry to [next_year]. Please read carefully.

1. Your [year] [desc] entry will be deferred to [next_year].

2. You will NOT receive a refund for your [year] entry fee.

3. Your deferment guarantees you an entry into the [next_year] race. It is not a complimentary (free) entry.

4. You will be required to claim your entry during the application window and pay the full registration fee for the [next_year] race.

5. You will not be assigned a bib number for the [year] event. You will not receive a bib number, participant packet, bag or running shirt, for this year's race, nor will any item be mailed before or after the event.

6. Any premium items (MarathonFoto package, Chicago Tribune Commemorative package and Balbo Hospitality tickets) purchased will still be valid for [year] and will not be refunded. These purchases will not carry over to [next_year].

7. Entries may only be deferred to the [next_year] event and cannot be deferred a second time or transferred to another individual.

8. Deferment is not available for those who received a guaranteed entry as a 2017 deferred entry and a charity or tour group runner.

9. Once your [year] entry is deferred it cannot be undone.
